Sustained Investigation
My sustained investigation started by exploring what intimacy and relationships look like to me, in my own personal life, and in the lives of people around me. As you go through my projects you can see how my feelings progress, not only through my outward relationships, but also in the relationship with myself as I reflect on my experiences. The once happy and light topic got dark, as I looked further and deeper into my feelings and started losing control of a once happy topic in my life.
In project 1 I wanted to get down to the basics and explore the 5 different ways people express love, and how my peers felt about it in their own lives. Projects 2,9,8,10 are all more emotional for me and hold a special meaning that may not be seen by viewers. Through all my projects I did my best to pick a medium that would best compliment the mood I was trying to convey while also learning something new. Project 3,4,8,9 I wanted to show a raw pain that you can only feel after losing someone after giving all of yourself.
Leading Question: How is intimacy shown in my life and how may it be different for others?
