ARE WORDS POWERFUL?

MINI SERIES #1

Element: Water

For this project I was intrigued by the prompt of elements. I love water, and I wanted to create disturbing, worrisome pictures. Mental Health wise it captures how I'm feeling, and the constant water from overhead was overwhelming and I had to think fast to come up with these. I also thought it would be cool to add fire into some of the pictures but after lighting my candle I accidentally put my lighter under the water and then blew out my candle so that was short lived.
Think of it like after a breakup, makeup running down your face, you're constantly trying to figure out if you were the problem, so angry at everything. I'm going through a breakup so these are my emotions

Long Exposure
I am the subject here, for most of them. I used my wall as a background because I thought it was cool instead of just using a plain background. I also used my LED light strips in my room to make it less boring and add dynamic lighting. I also had a light that I changed to yellow to make me stand out from the blue lights and create some contrast.
In this photoshoot I also wanted to create an unstable atmosphere as well. Seeing vs Not Seeing, masking emotions, hiding behind something. Polarization is all about opposites and I tried to capture opposite emotions and situations.

Photo Manipulation
For this project I thought it would be cool to add nature, or natural elements into my pictures.
The pictures are from the last assignment but I got distracted and I thought planets would go perfectly with the purple.
Polarization is opposite so I did two space ones and another one with things on earth. Like clouds and a waterfall.

Mini Photography
I wanted to create a christmas scene, or just people enjoying this tree in winter time. I edited the pictures to look older by lowering clarity and adding shading to midtones and highlights and adding grain.
