I wanted to take inspiration from victorian era greek paintings. The way women were portrayed we're amazing, and I wanted to encompass that. Pomegranates used to symbolize, love, fertility, and beauty, it was often said to be the fruit of aphrodite and artemis.
Antlers are also a symbol for men, the bruises and cuts around her body are sign of the two sides conflicting.
The constellations in the back are often representative of romance or intimacy
This project is similar to project 2 in the way it doesn't portray intimacy of 2 people, but how intimate it can be by yourself, being vulnerable is intimate in itself.
Materials Used: Watercolor, Ink, Gold Leaf
